Immersion- timeline activity
looking at this photo that was on the timeline, I can see how this picture would have influenced people during the first and second world war. This photo was painted by an artist, and was widely used during this time. By looking at this photo, I interoperate the world wars to be a frightening experience by looking at the soldiers faces, as they seem to be all looking in the same direction with the same 'shocked' expression. I also interoperate that this photo is encouraging young men to 'fall-in' to the army as shown in the large text down the bottom of the photo. Maybe the artist thought that this 'phrase' could possibly persuade men to join the army?

I picked this as the second photo from the timeline to reflect about, as it looks very interesting and different from the other photos. When I look at this photo, I see four very miserable, worn out and even stressed women. I'm not 100% sure whether this photo is of wives with husbands in WW2, or if they are women serving as nurses, but either way they are looking as if they wished that this war would finish soon. This makes me interoperate WW2 to be very stressful time as there was a lot of conflict happening,
as well as the war being very eventful as if there was no break for these ladies.
